Pool time in Oakland

Arrived ….to our nice room overlooking the pier and swimming pool. Time for a swim and later BBQ.

Not far from our house there is a Trailhead (Wedekind Regional Park Disk Trailhead) and we’ve been here before. But we had never take the time to go up to the top …so today was the day. Hot weather and Zoey so it would be extra good!

What a fun place and we found some stacked rocks and hand-painted congrete top …looked like a cache of some sort!! and sure enough we found some carefully wrapped notpad journals that a nice family had left and many people had shared the journey of their trips. We’ll go back and share more details …but suffice to say it made for some good fun …as we hiked around the top and took in the scenery. Enjoy the pics and video….

Mom and Grace headed to the CA where Kris, her mom and Mike rented a beach house. Great fun. The first picture was a young couple, we happened in to his marriage proposal ..then Grace wanted to get in the picture.
A L B U M :

Bike ride to Van Gorder …playground locked-up …so Grace hopped the 7 foot fence and then went to the main gate and opened it for the world. Shhhhhh! !!

Out on a bike ride, detour for some mexican food!!
