Well, we never thought we ‘d be doing a blog! But we hope to stay disciplined and use the blog as a way to chronicle our new baby’s early life.
About us: We live in Reno Nevada USA, the greatest place in the world we think. Kathy came from New York (Long Island) and John grew up in Northern CA. Our backgrounds are different but that makes it fun.
We’ve been together for about 6 great years. We have discussed children many times, but we never gathered the traction to get focused on actually starting a family.
Finally, during the last “baby” discussion we decided to “start trying” to have a baby. Well, the rest is history, as a few weeks later we were shocked to f ind out that there was a bun in the oven. (13 positive pregnancy tests over two evenings can’t be wrong …right?) Yet, we still couldn’t believe it. We really thought that it would take quite a while. A bit of a shock, but VERY EXCITING.
The months since have been spent watching the tummy grow and preparing for this new person to enter our lives.
