Oregon trip

We are on our way to Oregon -First stop Subway Caves near Lassen then on to see Grandma Jo and Grandpa Phil for night 1. …then on the Oregon Coast for a few days.

Pictures: Subway caves- What fun, then a stop at McD’s near Mt. Shasta. Many willdfires so heavy smoke from Mt. Shasta north and very heavy smoke here in Oregon -limited visibility and thick.

Tour de Nez -Downtown Reno

Grace and Dad spent the day downtown -moslty to check out the Tour de Nez bicycle race. Grace is just learning to ride a bike so it seemed like a good idea. What fun we had!

This video is long but has some good segments.
The most fun: Note when Grace is racing, her race goes about 75 yards (note the big start finish banner above the road). However Grace and a few boys don’t realize the race is over and keep going, …and going, ….and going.
**Note: She crosses the finish line at the 6:27 mark in the video ……but notice that’s not when she stops.
Dad got a workout attempting to keep up. Grace loved this, it was her first race. She wants to go again tomorrow. 🙂

Fire

Grace and Dad went downtown to see some “Fire” tonight….

Pretty cool stuff. Grace liked it, but wanted to walk around and see the sites (people) more than watch the fire shows.
