Well, another month of “Too Many Pictures” ….but they make for some good fun
We took a few days and went down to see Uncle Brian in Las Vegas. It was a wonderful trip and Grace was in heaven with the attention and love from Uncle Brian ….not to mention Vegas has what Grace loves the most:? Abundant people watching!
In spite of yet more teeth continuing to come in, Grace’s appetite and palette keep growing. Grace will often eat considerable amounts during a sitting, and in the last weeks has really broadened her palette. Some new favorites:
+Beef, as in ground beef and small chunks of assorted steak and such. +Chicken ..as in small chunks of chicken breast. +Scrambled Eggs, Grace loves these +Avocado, yep, Graces Loves Avocado. And cheese continues to be a big favorite, as well as crackers, peas, corn and yogurt.
While still no shortage of silliness, Grace is often very serious. She also is very nosy and has to know what everyone is doing …irregardless of if she knows the person and irregardless of where we are.
Below: Grace serious about her fruit, cheese and crackers ….the fruit is the least favorite
Grace received a beautiful hand-made sweater and hat -Doris made these for Grace and they are beautiful.
We took a few pictures and we’re all sure that there will be plenty of good fun with this sweater forthcoming!
Thank you so very much Doris!!
Tonight we all ran a few errands (yes, including Costco) ..eventually home for a nice dinner. Then, it was bath time and we broke out the new “Monster Towel” which was a Christmas gift from Kris. Note the tooth coming out of the hood in a few of the pictures. 🙂
Some good fun and Grace loves the bath and mom and dad must now keep a distance or get wet! A few good pics, be sure to check them out.
Mom and dad took a road trip to the Oregon coast, and Grace got to spend a few days with Grandma Jo!? Great fun over new years and a real treat for everyone.
We didn’t do Christmas gift exchange until the evening of Christmas Day. Grandma Jo and Grandpa Phil came down from Oregon, Brian came up from Las Vegas and Grandma Rose and Grandpa Ray came all the way from Reno! Lots of simple food, conversation and of course the family gift exchange.
This is a yearly tradition -and a favorite of Kathy’s. Typically we go at night but this year went during the day -although we did stay late enough to catch some of the lights.
It rained on and off but that didn’t dampen our fun …instead it just helped thin the crowds!
Well, playing with a new camera, some snow and Christmas around the corner have all contributed to us taking too many pictures –some good and some bad -They are all just “Day In The Life” of Grace the first three weeks of December.
You can view these in a number of ways -either by scrolling through the pages and clicking on the pics you want to see, or by viewing as a sideshow, or a combination.
Tonight when it came to bath time, we decided to not use her infant thingy, …and instead put grace right in the sink!? It was some good fun and of course we took too many pictures and too much video!
Well, yet another stellar check-up. We know that Grace is no heavyweight, and we were very shocked to see that she is only 17lbs!? Up only a few lbs since her 6month check-up. **BUT** she has jumped up to the 20-25% for weight! That is great. She’s well above that for her height and the size of her head. The latter measurement she’s always over-achieved 🙂 .
Grace got a bit of blood drawn from her foot to check for iron level. They can check on-the-spot and her level was perfect –and she didn’t much mind the needle prick.
And, as always her love for Dr. Columbo continues. She certainly has a crush on him and he is great with her. As always they engaged in all kinda of fun interaction.
While we’ve debated and changed our mind a million times, we did give Grace the H1N1 vaccine today. She’ll go back in a month for the 2nd and final round.
And, Kathy brought a huge batch of cookies and a nice Christmas card for Dr. Columbo and his staff, that was really nice and it is no wonder why Grace is his favorite patient!
